How to Get to CQU

During the registration period (refer to Orientation Schedule for CQU New International Students), the International Student Office (ISO) will arrange volunteers to pick up new international students at the domestic and international arrivals exits of Chongqing Airport. Make sure you visit the webpage of the airport pick-up service at http://admission.cqu.edu.cn/ to book this service or send your flight information to the International Student Office via email of iso@cqu.edu.cn one week before the registration dates. When you arrive at the airport, find the pick-up sign that reads重庆大学/CHONGQING UNIVERSITY held by volunteers at the exit. The volunteers there will help you get to Chongqing University (at your own expense).

Note: the airport pickup service is provided only during the registration week (refer to Orientation Schedule for CQU New International Students). Please note that the fee for this service, which comes to 200RMB (including taxi fee of around 160 and a tiny amount of volunteer service fee), needs to be covered by the applicant, and should be delivered to the volunteer who provides the service.

If you have familiarized yourself with the route leading to Chongqing University, you may take a taxi or the subway to reach the University directly. Refer to the following for more details:

1. Taxi

The most convenient way to get to CQU from the airport is by taxi. As Chongqing Airport is located 30km from the campus, it will cost you around 80 RMB from the airport.

Show the HELP-ME CARD to the taxi driver and inform the driver to drive to the Xuelin Hotel or the Songlipo International Students Apartments (refer to Life at CQU for details regarding your dormitory arrangement) and that cab should enter the campus through the Main Gate of Campus A of Chongqing University. It takes approximately 50 minutes to reach the university from the airport, depending on the traffic.

→School shuttle bus: there are school shuttle buses between Campus A to Campus D (or Huxi Campus), taking about 40 minutes. You may visit http://huxi.cqu.edu.cn/n/21349 for the timetable of the school bus.

The total fare for both lines is about 10 RMB. Once you get off at Sha Ping Ba, take a taxi to Campus A of CQU (which will cost about 10 RMB), or walk towards Shazhengjie Street until you reach the main gate of CQU, which takes you about 20 minutes to cover the distance.
