The 17th International Conference on Electromagnetic Fluid and Magnetic Suspensions (ermr 2019) was held in Wollongong, Australia, from December 15 to 20, 2019. More than 180 delegates from more than 20 countries attended the conference. The International Conference on Electromagnetic Fluid and Magnetic Suspensions is a global conference in the field of electromagnetic rheology. The conference aims to share current and explore new science and technology relevant to electro- and magneto-responsive materials. The research group, led by Prof. Miao Yu from the school of Optoelectronic Engineering of Chongqing University, attended the meeting. Prof. Yu make an invitation report and presided over a conference section. The international conference committee voted to award the 18th International Conference on Electroheological Fluid and Magnetorheological Suspensions (ERMR2021) hosting rights to the Chongqing University, China during the conference.
