The 7^th National Laser Spectroscopy Technology Academic Forum Successfully Held in Hefei, Anhui Province from April 26^th to 28^th, 2024. The event was jointly hosted by the Chinese Optical Society and the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-organized by Tsinghua University, the Laser Spectroscopy Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, the Environmental Optics Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, and the Anhui Optical Society. Over 500 participants, including researchers, technologists from universities, research institutes, and optical enterprises, as well as young scholars, attended in the conference.

        During the forum, the 2^nd committee meeting of the Laser Spectroscopy Committee of the Chinese Optical Society was held. The meeting formulated the committee’s recent work plan and established seven working groups covering academic conferences, science popularization, industry-university-research collaboration, online reports, international cooperation, graduate student competitions, and textbook compilation. Through voting by the committee, Chongqing University was awarded the right to host the 8^th National Laser Spectroscopy Technology Academic Forum. At the closing ceremony, Wei Wei, Vice Dean of the School of Optoelectronic Engineering, delivered a speech expressing his gratitude to the Chinese Optical Society for its continuous support to the School of Optoelectronic Engineering at Chongqing University. He also introduced the academic development history and research status of the school, and extended a sincere invitation to peers in the field of laser spectroscopy technology nationwide, looking forward to welcoming experts and scholars to Chongqing, a city of beautiful landscapes.
