She received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Chongqing University, China, in 1986, 1989, and 2006, respectively. During 1998-2002, She joined in Analysis Science Center of Imperial College (London, UK.) as Senior Visiting Scholar and special research Fellow. Since 1989, she has been with the School of Chemical Engineering and School of Opto-electronic Engineering, Chongqing University, where she is currently a Professor.f She was the director of the National Defense Key Discipline Laboratory of Micro-nano Devices and Systems Technology during 2015-2021.  She was awarded one hundred national Excellent Doctoral dissertations in 2008, selected as chongqing Academic technology Leader of Analysis discipline in 2008, and selected as Chongqing High-level Talents in 2016.

She is a member of the academy of Chinese Society of Micro and Nano Technology, vice chairman of micro-nano branch of Chinese Academy of Instrumentation and director of the Analysis and Test Committee of Chongqing.

Her main areas of research interest are biochemical analysis, biochemical sensor and sensing technology and microfluidic chip for biochemical analysis. Her researching group is focusing on developing the forefront microfluidic biochemical chip and system, sensor and sensing analysis system and so on. As the project leader, she has undertaken more than 20 national projects. She has published more than 100 academic papers, and is the chief editor of 1 monograph, 3 national higher education planning textbook. 21 invention patents have been applied and 15 patents have been granted.
