Liping Yang received the B.E. degree in measurement control technology and instrument, and the Ph.D. degree in instrumental science and technology from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2003 and 2008 respectively.

In 2009, he joined the College of Optoelectronic Engineering, Chongqing University, as a Lecturer, and in 2011became an Associate Professor. In 2018, he visited the University of Rhode Island in United State. His current research interests include audio signal processing, image processing, machine learning and pattern recognition. Dr. Yang is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Signal Processing Society. He is also a member of China Computer Federation (CCF).
