Xiaoqin Wu was born in China in 1989. She received the B.E. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2016.

In 2016, she joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, as a visiting scholar and postdoc. Since 2019, she has been with the College of Optoelectronic Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, where she is currently an associate professor.

Her main areas of research interest are nanophotonics, plasmonics, bio-optics and their micro-/nano-optical components and devices.
