Xiaojiao Duan was born in Sichuan province, China in 1982. He received the B.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Beijing Normal University, China, in 2004, and 2009, respectively.

He is currently an associate research fellow in Engineering Research Center of Industrial Computed Tomography Nondestructive Testing, Ministry of Education, Chongqing University.

He has published more than 20 scientific papers and presided over and participated in the drafting of more than 10 national standards in the field of industrial computed tomography. His main areas of research interest are CT image artifact correction and interaction mechanism of X-ray and materials.

He is a member of the NDT Standardization Technology Management Committee and director of Chongqing NDT society.
